Our Man in Europe is a specialized tour organizing agency dedicated to leading small group tours in Europe and Great Britain. Every tour is accompanied by extremely knowledgeable full-time guides, and most groups are personally escorted by the company owner, Larry Ivy. He is affiliated with the French Tourist Bureau through Maison de la France, and has been recognized as a Destination Specialist for France.

The company was officially formed in 2004, although Larry Ivy had been leading European tour groups from the USA since 1990. He had formerly lived in England, and had traveled extensively throughout Europe during those years prior to undertaking the planning and conducting of his first European travel groups. The early tours led to a very distinctive style of European travel. The basic concept of the company is to strive to make guests feel as if they are really part of the places they visit, and not simply like tourists passing through in a hurry. Most Your Man in Europe tours are centered in a region or two within a single country, and not multiple countries in a single visit.

The tours offered can be physically demanding, often very active, and require a certain amount of "taking care of one’s self". The company does not offer pre-planned "luxury" travel, nor at the other extreme, “backpacker style” tours; although both of these options, as well as others, are available as custom-planned trips.

Though Your Man in Europe is a Travel Agency, the entire focus of the staff is on escorted tours in Europe and the United Kingdom – not on marketing the very wide range of travel options offered by most travel agencies. Your Man in Europe offers a limited number of pre-planned itineraries annually. Also available are custom-planned tours for private groups. The preferred destinations, and the most familiar are France, England, Scotland, northern Italy, Switzerland, The Netherlands, and The Czech Republic.
